Euphorbia or Poinsettia in kokedama yarn

Poinsettia is commonly known as 'Christmas Star'.

Its vibrant red leaves (bracts) catch our eye during this Christmas season.
Its flowers are small yellow inflorescences.

It is not pet-friendly. It is extremely toxic to both our four-legged friends and humans.

5 tips to keep this plant beautiful and healthy:

- It likes plenty of natural light. Let it get direct sunlight whenever possible.

- Protect from frost, drafts, and cold inside our homes. Christmas Stars do not do well in very low or extreme temperatures, as they are plants typical of warm climates.

Water only when the moss and substrate are dry, and only moderately, as it does not like waterlogged soil.

- Fertilize after the flowers have fallen, using fertilizer for flowering plants or organic matter.

- Prune at the end of January. As a rule, the plant will be leafless, making this the best time to prune. The stems should be cut, but leave about 10-20 cm in length. After cutting, seal the "wound".

Note: Use gloves for this process, as the sap, also known as sap-like substance, is irritating to the skin and mucous membranes.

For watering:

Check when the moss is dry and the kokedama is light, then let it sit in a bowl of water for 5 minutes.
